UQ forged a deal with Hebei Iron and Steel Group

Hebei Iron and Steel Group (HBIS) invested A$5.25 million over the next five years in the HBIS-UQ Innovation Centre for Sustainable Steel (ICSS), the University of Queensland, Australia.

Professor Geoff Wang is the EAIT Director for China Research Partnership, and Professor Lianzhou Wang the ICSS Director.

UQ Vice-Chancellor Professor Peter Høj signed the agreement with HBIS Chairman Mr Yong Yu in March 2017.
