A/Professor Jing Sun Established an Important Partnership

Chronic disease is prevalent worldwide and a main concern to both Australian and Chinese population. A/Professor Jing Sun from School of Medicine at Griffith University initiated and secured several major projects to develop an eHealth approach that can provide people with preclinical condition and diagnosed chronic disease themselves with wearable devices to self-monitor disease conditions and provide convenient and simultaneous feedback about disease condition. This approach will significantly help wide population prevent cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and hypertension conditions.

These projects are funded by China Health and Family Planning Commission and Bureau of Beijing Hospital Administration, and supported by China National Health and Family Commission, Peking University, Shanghai East Hospital, Beijing Anding Hospital, Jiangsu Provincial Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, and a number of other tertiary hospitals in China. A/Professor Jing Sun recently established a partnership with Huawei Australia, Shanghai East Hospital, and James Cook University to apply cutting edge intelligent data technologies to chronic disease prevention and control. Currently she is conducting clinical trials over 48 communities in Beijing, Shanghai and Jiangsu Province.
